Original Oil Painting by Jeri McDonald, 9x12 study. Started experimenting with trees and other color palettes. This one I did off the top of my head and memories of my daughter's house where they used to live in Anza near Palm Springs. This is what the terrain really looks like there. Colors were Transparent red oxide, viridian, cobalt blue, ultramarine blue, raw sienna, cad yellow med., yellow ochre, Gamblin's Phalo Emerald, cad red light (tiny bit) and underpainting white.

Yes, working a lot Silvana! I want to be the best I can be so I am forcing myself to be disciplined to paint outdoors, paint different subjects and use various palettes until I can master them. This helps me to decide exactly what I want to focus on for the future. I have decided on landscapes for the most part so getting outside is what I'm going to try and do at least once a week now. Thanks Jon and Ann for the very nice compliments. I do appreciate them so much.
