Very impressive work!
I was inspired by a modern mythological painter I came across, whose name I now unfortunately forget, who painted very realistic figures in rather surrealistic settings. I had the figure reference with the saucy over the shoulder look, and thought she might make a good Aphrodite. Subsequently I found references for the cove in Cyprus which is the goddess's supposed birth place - quite stunning formations. I threw in a couple of Aphrodite symbols - the golden apple awarded to her by Paris, which gave rise to the Trojan war, and the evening star, Venus, above her head.
