Oil on canvas. I took a lot of liberties with this. Am not fond of it.

Thanks Jon. That and the water were done with a palette knife, trying to stay looser. I had originally done the water quite light like in Richard's painting, but the boat looked flat, so thought I'd try darkening the water. It didn't really help much though, so I just need to redo it.

I like the brushwork in the distant sky. It's amazing how hard it is to handle the color in this scene. There's a nice feel of light in it
