Nice one Jon, I like the effect the trees give. it softens the otherwise linear mass behind. well done.

Hi, Ann and Ian - thanks for the feedback/thoughts!

- I felt that it looked a bit empty without the trees (which were there) - but as is often the case once one starts detailing, I put too many branches in (the prob is, if there's only a few,you have to concentrate and paint them really well! + I was close to the painting - couldn't see the trees for the wood ;D )

Great design idea to view the village thru the trees. I like the bright strip of geen infront of the village
