I saw the horse but didn't realise it was on rock. It does look good framed. I think I'm going to display my kookaburra on something like a plate stand. It is about an inch thick on the bottom edge so it would need a fairly thick box frame to do the job properly. The sealer is a good idea though. I hadn't thought of that. I probably should seal the leaves too.

Oh, now I see on this one where you said you were going to frame the leaves. I hope you post the pic again when you have them framed. I bet the will just be a knock out. Did you notice in my gallery where I painted a horse head on 1/4 inch thick sliced rock? That was popular many years ago. I glued some swade type material to a thin board and placed that in the frame. I just glued the rock onto the board/material. It was done in oils so no glass. I had to spray something clear to seal the rock. After painting, I sprayed again. Ro

This leaf is 18cm wide x 14cm high. It was a bit of a challenge because the leaf itself is paper thin and a little fragile. I'm going to have to mount it carefully before I frame it.

It would be interesting to know just how big that leaf is. Well done. Ro
