12"X12" Oil on canvas.I decided to do a little bit more to it and fix the large rock as well. I am much happier with the colour now. They probably were not very strong contrasts on the first submission.

Maria, Thanks to let me know. I am relaxed as you are happy about the result after you retouched it. I forgot to tell that you do not have to follow my suggestion. Just treate it as only a view and a reference. I mean that you do not have to follow anyone's idea only if you totally agree with those thought. Everybody are different and we are still learning. Trust yourself and your first feeling. I was greatly helped by our classmates. I retouched my works and they looked much better. I can not thanks them enough. Eventhough, be careful before your retouch. You paint very well indeed.
Ningning,I did what you suggested and it looks much better. :-)
Thank you Ningning. After taking another look at it I think you are right.:-)
Maria, I enjoy your colour combination, the detailed description of thes shapes of the rocks, the birds and the movement of the waves. I also love your brush strokes, they are very fluent . Maybe the light effect could be a bit stronger. I mean the colour around the sun, at the eye of the wave and on the rocks which are in the way of the sun light and the reflection in the water could be lighter so that it will make it more drama. Just a view. Although we are following Richard's composition, you showed me an excellent control in design. Everything in the painting are elegently posted in a propriate position. Lovely and very well done.
Thank you Silvana "& Laura xu. I think having that limited palette controlled my temptation to use to many colours.Yes, more pleased with that rock now Jessica. Thank you.
Good work Maria!
It is very nice Maria!
Wonderful colour, Maria - and I like what you did with the big rock!
