Well, you know me, I have always been a stickler for making it look like the photo or scene. I hope it will be possible to get as free as you are now. I hope you keep posting your work. I love seeing what you are doing.

Hi Nancy!  

One thing Jo's classes did for me was to free me up from the photo.  I recently went outside for a plein air and followed pretty closely the scene but you know there are certain places that just don't look good as they are so I am now free to change them.  That was such a liberating lesson to learn.  Hope you are well and thanks for the nice comments!  Still learning and always will...

Vida, you really did a great job on those rocks, and I love that dynamic splashing waterfall. I like how you changed your painting from the original photo.
