Phase one of an oil painting from my photo here in Crescent City, CA. Having trouble putting in my seagulls. I have wiped them off and now waiting for the painting to dry so I can put them back on. I've been practicing on some canvas paper using the dvd I bought from Richard on painting "Rukaka Beach". He makes it look so easy but it's not!

I think this painting is very nice. I like the waves. I was thinking on the seagulls... have you thought of making them flying?

I now what you mean. I always tend to want to copy but, im finally finding my own. Im getting better on being a little more loose and getting bigger brushes.  By the way... i like the distant rocks and the color of the water.  The clouds too! Nice job Jeri.
