Begonias cropped to 8 x 12.
A friend of mine gave me some jpegs of different kinds of frames. If you have some experience with photoshop it is great fun to try your paintings out in different frames.

A couple of months ago I started buying rolls of oil primed linen canvas. I cut the canvas to roughly the size I want, tape it to masonite board, and when I´m finished I glue the painting on to a hardboard. What I really love about working this way, besides the feel and texture of the canvas, is that it is so easy to crop the painting to a desired size, if for some reason the composition isn´t working out in the larger format.

Love your begonias -- they are one of my favorite flowers and are very cheerful.  I have been buying rolls of canvas for years now.  It is a great way to paint -- and economical too.

It looks great ! Thanks for the information using primed canvas. I haven't tried this base for painting but I am currently working on a painting from Johannas V workshop and it needs to be cropped or rearranged or put away up on the top shelf until I can paint over it. Oh well ,it was a learning process
