Oil on Canvas 10 x 12in. This was part of a workshop I just finished before my little accident. I did enjoy it and learnt lots.

thanks Jessica, I certainly won't be giving up what I've learnt in the past. I don't think I'm disciplined enough to teach any more, I kind of make up my own rules a lot.  thanks for your confidence in my work.  If I can just keep going with painting, I'll be happy.  Keep up your lovely work as well.:)

Glenys, like Candi, I love your own unique style & the masterpieces you so often share with us on this site!   Maybe one day you will give your own workshop :)  Your flower paintings are always gorgeous.

Wow Candi, thank you so much for your encouraging comments - you have made my day.  And thank you Fay, I'm glad you like the colours, I know they are bright, but I think they have a happy effect.

I'm excited about this workshp too Glenys! Thanks for checking out the two artists I mentioned.  There are so many truly talented artists whose work I strive towards...and you are amongst them!

Hi Candi, thanks for your helpful comments. I've had a look at Julie and Phil's work.  I like both, but I guess in the end it all boils down to personal taste when eventually taking a leap to follow the road that appeals most. I really love RR's work and am currently watching his latest video of Workshop 55, it's such a fabulous painting and subject. I feel like you, Richard is one of the best teachers I've come across and he gives to much and is constantly learning himself.  I also love reading his crits.  So, here I will stay and I feel I can incorporate both Dreama's work style in some of my paintings, and Richards where I'm continually learning and continuing my own attempt at tonal work, not all in the same painting of course. It will depend on the subject I choose which method to use.  Above all, must have fun :)))

Hi Glynys, love the colors!  I have thought about taking Dreama's workshop too, in fact ordered all the colors on her Supply List. There is anothrr artist, who lives in my town, whose work I really admire, Julie Ford Oliver. Julie uses a technique, she invented, called fracturing. My problem is that their work is so easily identifiable, so I don't want to look like their student. Instead, I'm going to invest in Mentoring classes with Phil Starke AND do Richard's workshop this month. I like that about his workshops, that we are introduced to different styles and techniques. I think Richard is a very versatile artist. Glynys, I  much prefer seeing your own distinctive, advanced, very beautiful work, but glad you enjoyed the workshop. I have heard that there is much to gain from Dreama's workshops in addition to her technique, so glad you had a great workshop experience!
