This is a beautiful painting Casey.  Your focal area is outstanding!!  I particularly like the shapes,colours and contrast in this area. The background blends in very well too.  Well done!!!  :))

My understanding of the Gamut Tool is what it does it shows you which colors are harmonious.  That is all it does.  Looking at this painting I believe all your colors are.  Go and look at the Gamut tool and just find the one that shows the colors you have used in this painting..........  If you submit this painting I bet you will be voted the winner.  dor:))

Thanks for your feedback, Dorian.  I didn't use the gamut tool for this one, and as the one I did use the gamut tool for was a disaster, I've decided not to submit anything to this particular workshop. It's just not a method for me, I'm afraid.  It confuses me.
