Forest of Dean

Acrylic (12x16) With thanks to Paint my Photo for providing this lovely forest photograph. I am actually visiting this forest next week for a painting break i'm looking forward to getting outside and doing some plein air, fingers crossed it doesn't rain all week!!

Yes he was very pleased he one the painting which was a huge boost for me!

I loved the way this painting turned out and I am hoping to produce some plain air this week in the forest, although the weather is a bit dodgy at the moment hoping for some forest sunshine breaking through the trees later today.

It compliments the subject so well. Your paintings seem to have a robustness without being heavy. A real sense of presence. But at the same time there is an air of the fantastical about them. They are telling a story I long to hear. Well done.
