This is amazing work; your result is beautiful. I love the subtle colours that you have used. Really well done.

Thank you so much! I'm going to give it a try! I just finished Richards video on atmosphereic perspective and I feel it still needs work.. I'll post so you can tell me where you think it needs improvement. As for your leaf, I would say the reflection on the upper right because you already have two leaves that would be like stepping stones leading your eye down.

Thanks Jon, Ruby and Adrienne.  I really enjoy trying to paint the rocks with water and the reflections of the sky.  Adrienne, I don't know if this might help you, but I find that mixing varying amounts of Titanium white, N7 Neutral Grey, and Paynes grey make quite a convincing cloudy sky reflection. It usually doesn't take much Paynes grey or the N7 Neutral grey added into the white.  I usually do some of the mixing and blending right on the canvas.  Sometimes I put in a tiny bit of cobalt blue as well.  Also, thanks for the suggestion about putting a leaf on top - where would you suggest?  My painting group thought I should add a few more too, but didn't suggest where.

Really beautiful! I love those little yellow leaves tucked in. It reminds me of hiking in dry riverbed's in New Mexico as a child. I almost wish one of the leaves was more on top to push the Illusion even further. My goal right now is to improve in my reflections. I find them so challenging. Any tips would be appreciated .
