I just wanted to be original and have a certain mood in the painting rather than reproducing a standard set of objects in standard light. This was done three years ago as a part of mandatory program at an art school - they had a cabinet full of different objects for still lives and many of them were broken. So I thought why not select only broken ones and make a setup that is a bit different? I could waffle here about my broken life and its reflection in my art but it's not true. I am quite happy with myself and the way my life evolves.

Nice composition and technique but, why did you paint broken items ? The broken beautiful things and color palette make me sad. I would like to see you do another with the same items unbroken and warmer colors.
