A more stylised seascape. So far in acrylic but will complete with oil paint. Hoping to donate this to a charity auction later this year.

Hi Diane, thanks for your comments.  I will probably complete most if not all of the painting in oils.  I agree once you get it to a stage you are fairly happy with, it is challenging to change over to oil.  If I was really happy with the painting I might leave it in acrylic.  I will post the finished version - maybe I will learn something from the comparison!  Anne

Interested in your comment that you will complete in oils. Will you start over and do the whole painting in oil now or will you just do parts of it? Oil gives so much more depth to a painting but if I start in the acrylic and get it to the stage you have this painting I am loath to add the oil. Was wondering how you go about it. Love the foreground water effect you have already. I will save it and hope you post it after the addition of oils so I can see the diference :) Diane
