Anne, the "tunnel" is a tunnel through the stand of trees = 'hole' in the trees. Thanks for commenting. Yep, I think it needs a real good grey sky!

Jon nice muted color in this painting. The road has character and moves back int the middle ground nicely. Is that a tunnel at the end of the road ? Your cloud shapes seem to explode out of the castle you may want to tame them. I am enjoying looking at this maybe because of all the sunsets for this wkshop. Your painting is restful for the eyes
