Riham, I just found a non-toxic medium that I use when I really need to thin the paint or need something to dry quickly.
Riham, thank you so much for that compliment about my work! I rarely work without toning, but lately I have experimented with different colors. Like you, I tone with acrylic, although I never paint with acrylic. One reason is that I've completely kicked the habit of using a solvent, and it's a pain to work with a heavy oil for thinning. (also not recommended, being "lean over fat". ; )
Yeah.. It does actually, & contrasts beautifully with the overall color of the painting. I have lately started toning my paintings with acrylic burnt sienna, & I'm loving the result! I really enjoyed all of your work Britt :)
Thanks, Riham!!
I do tone my canvas, and I often do an underpainting as well. This one is toned with Burnt sienna....which looks so vividly orange because of the blue.
Amazing work!! Beautiful paintings, Britt!! Do you tone your canvas?
I love the extras here..
Love it!
Thank you, Karlo and Roberta! I'm not sure if the exposed orange under painting is helping or hurting....
(: nice
Well done!
