Chicken Coop, Near HMB, 062515

8x10. this is done based on a photo I took when I was on plein aire. This is near redondo beach half moon bay with 360 degree view. I have done two paintings just stood one spot. I will have to go back the place again soon to paint it on location.

Comment by Laura Xu on July 13, 2015 at 12:23: Thank you Thomas! Yes, I did use knife a little bit. I think the plywood board gives more textures because it absorbs oil very well and left color paste on the surface, so I have to put colors down and leave alone or get muddy.

Comment by Laura Xu on July 12, 2015 at 5:14: Jessica, I think it is only for turkeys preparing for thanksgiving day? there are more coops behind this one. I don't know what is english name should call for turkeys: turkey barn, turkey coop, turkey run... so name it chicken coop (Big chicken).
