Thanks ladies for the tips. Next time I start earlier;  and use oils maybe. Will post more soon when I get better light and camera skills, as we are lacking in the sunshine department.

Lisa, I agree with Ann. I like the harmony of the color and it can be happier. You had a very good control of your work too. Next time, when you take a photo, try to make the lence of the camera point at the center of the canvas. it will make the edge of photo balanced. I like your work.

Not so sad, I like the varied shape and colors of the chicks. I had a problem with cloning the little guys.Less grey would make a happier painting.

ok I did this late at night when the children finally went to sleep, and this is me trying out acrylics. (so full of excuses for a sad painting) Oils are my favourite, but I am determined to learn. I think it is an all right starting place.
