Oils, 16x20" stretched canvas, A self imposed challenge to myself - to draw with a brush directly on the canvas for the painting in stead of transferring a drawing and to design a composition from a photo using the Golden Ratio. I have a YouTube video of the process of the composition design. http://youtu.be/Cl3swxIec0U

"How to Transform a Photo into a Designed Composition Using the Golden Mean."

I used a Tertiary Color Scheme of Yellow-Green (Thalo Yel Green & Sap Green); Yellow-Red (Cad Yel Deep, Yellow Ocher, Raw Sienna, Naples Yellow); Red (Bt Sienna, Cad Red Lt); Purple (Mauve); Blue (Cerulean Blue, Prussian Blue, French Ultra Blue, Cobalt Blue); Blue-Green (Cobalt Turquoise.

Hi  Roena, Thank you putting together this informative video. I watched it once and then again. I hope that some of the info rubbed off into my brain. I am most interested in the golden spiral. I was thinking it might be helpful to have it on a clear sheet to take with when planning plein air.  You could just lay over a 9x12 panel to help with composition. Do you think this might work ?
