This has such a nice soft feel to it. I really love the way you bring us in with the loose directional strokes and I like the atmosphere you have created with the clouds, and I like your color palette. The buff on the right might be a little too dark?

Many thanks for your great and inspirational suggestion. I think about it thoughtfully.

I thought that putting orange in the sky would help the reading of the painting in the way that the color  is "turning" in the painting. It is true that I did not think about making orange snow though. May be the contrast cold/warm up in the mountains is too sharp

Beautiful warm and cold colours: especially the warm earth colour on the sky in the background and foreground forming a nice rhythm of colour flow like the water flow down the hill.

Nicely done. I like this a lot. The loose directional brushwork takes you into the background and far distance. I love the hint of the stream with those violet touches.

I find having your warmest colors in the clouds and mountain distracting for the depth perspective. The foreground could have some more saturated oranges and yellow greens to help that. I had similar issues with yellow clouds and white snow, Richard pointed this out in the critique of my painting. I think some of your snow could be catching that warm yellow sunlight also. The orange in the mountains above the tree line blends and reads as an extension of the cloud line across that area. This section could either be more definition or be greyed down.

The other thing I'm not quite sure is correct is the warm dark shadow areas of the bluff, it feels a bit off with the warmth overall of the light source.

Hope you don't mind my little critique. I still like this very much and you get my vote.
