Thank you Mete. You know the exercise was for Richard's color course, but the composition was arrived at with me playing around with a Golden Rectangle that I recently have started using. Once I made one (using the clear plastic top off of a CD holder and a perm.marker) and started looking through it, did I feel like I might be understanding it. That is Delmus Phelps site, and he has a world of informtion there. Ro

This is the setup for the colored blocks painting. I had one light source which was located up and over my left shoulder. The strong shadows were caused by one light source. The room was as dark as I could make it and still be day time.
