I look forward to seeing it Cheryl.
Thanks again Richard. I'm currently working on another piece which I am painting from the photo, but am trying to do a more impressionistic style. Ordinarily I would try to paint every leaf! I would appreciate your critical eye. I'm at a point where I need direction on some things. Hopefully posting it soon.
If you took the photo Cheryl you created the composition. You chose what to include and what to leave out. I think good photographers often paint great pictures because they have great references. if you've got a good composition, why not paint it as it is?
Thanks so much Richard for your note. I can't say I did much on composition. I struggle redesigning a scene, so I paint from reference photographs. What I paint is usually what is photographed. When I have tried to restructure the scene, I struggle with the acceptable placement...what would be a natural rendition of the change. I appreciate your experienced opinion!
I like the composition of of this one Cheryl and you have captured the rocks and water beautifully.
Boy, you really know how to put rocks and water together!
