Thank you very much Idan.
Congratulations on having Richard critique your painting. That is quite an honor! Smiles to you and Happy Painting...........dor:))
Thank you Nancy. Just come right over and let's go to the beach!...........smiles dor:))
Hi Lyndon
Your suggestion of using masking tape is a wonderful idea. Now why didn't I remember to do that? dor:))
Dor, I really like the colours in the foreground area, its a great first painting.
When painting seascapes, I use a masking tape to delineate the horizon and paint up to and over it then remove it when I'm sure its horizontal. Then you can soften the horizon if that's the effect required.
Thank you so much Anna for taking the time to comment. Lots of smiles here! dor:))
Impressive for such a first painting, Dorian!
Maybe this is cheating, but I often use a T-square to be sure that my horizone is as perfectly level as possible. Most of all, I like your brush work on the mid. rt. oats and shadow.
Tui, Thank you for telling me. I am so fortunate to be able to get in my car and drive to a beach like this in 15 minutes or less. I see many things wrong in this painting. Someday I will paint a better one. Smiles to you............ dor: ))
