Nice job transforming the photo! I don't think that you have to change any colors. Just make your lights a tiny bit lighter and your darks a tiny bit darker, being careful not to make your darks too dense. On a hazy day the values all stay closer to each other; their range is smaller than on a sunny day. A few light touches only; don't tinker with it much because it is so lovely!

Thank you for your kind comments.  Betsy, actually in this painting I totally push the colours.  I add the original photo for you.  As you can see it was a hazy day and I invent the shadows and colours.  I need to go back to my block studies to see what the real colours should be on a sunny day as you are right, I need to increase the contrast if I want it to read as a sunny day.

I love the complementary color scheme here. It really sings. I also like the subject. May I ask if it was a sunny day or a hazy day? I'm thinking sunny based on the blue shadows. If so, a slight increase in the contrast might be I order. t could just be your photo, too, so don't fret. I LOVE THIS PAINTING!
