Oil on Canvas 14" X 20".
I wanted to apply what I had learned with the grays on the Workshop 24 painting in a really controlled setting. I designed this to do that. Lessons for me: warm through cool grays, atmospheric perspective, limited palette, dynamic brushwork, careful work on lost and found edges.

Your art is awesome.
Christine - Thanks for the comment. :-)
Great! Love the red and green, and it is such good use of the colors, without screaming red and
green at you.
Ningning Li - The you'll easily deal with the complicated forms. After all they are just brushstrokes creating shape. :-) I still worry that the boat is too red, buy it expresses an idea, more than the real thing, so it has to be real, and unreal, at the same time.
I enjoy your colour temperature change. I can not imagine that I can deal with such complicate forms of the rocks. I love that well done small read boat, it makes the painting more interesting.
Valur - Thanks. That's a real encouragement from you. Thank you.
Dor - You always make me smile :-)
Fantastic! Wow.
Very interesting composition. It is OK to laugh, when I tell you I see some oysters and clams among those rocks. Smiles to you Michael : ))
Thanks, Pandalana.
Really cool of you to stop by and comment with such hearty encouragement.
Michael, I love this painting!
