Striking use of color. Beautifully done indeed!
This lovely little girl lives in Africa and was photographed by a very talented man who travels the world taking pictures of indigenous tribes. I found this on line and contacted him and asked his permission to paint the picture and expecting to never hear back from him, he wrote back and said yes. In the picture there seemed to be an entire landscape reflected in her eyes, something I tried but could not capture. But I did get her emotion which speaks many words and leaves many unanswered questions.
The background is just my attempt at a abstract landscape of what I saw in the pic. I was thrilled and honored that he let me paint this. After painting this I wrote back and asked if I could paint another.....haha, this time I did not hear back. One should never push.
