This is an outstanding work. The technique used in the grass is very interesting, I will study it.
Thanks for the props. This is painted on a gessoed masonite board from Dick Blick.com (18 x 24, I think). I used Golden liquid acrylics which flow very smoothly and has a dense pigment. This allows for rich washes and glazes. The grass was actually "drawn" with a quill style pen! Great for fine detail. I learned this technique from Hugh Greer (Google him).
