This is an example of the way I like to do portraits. I've included the reference pic i took. I like to have free reign on how I do them. Think it was 36"x48"

I would agree that the painting doesn't look so much like the model. I think the painting is prettier!

Funny story....this woman did not pay for this, a friend did.  Well she came in one day during the underpainting stage and said it didn't look like her....lmao.  I tried to explain but she got upset and left.  So I added a few years back onto her age as punishment.  She loved the hell out of it....lol.  (never mess with an artist)
