Laura, Sarah and Jessica, thank you so much for liking this painting!  Laura, this is not a plein air.  I did some simple sketch on the site and took some photos. This one is painted at home, mostly based on the photo I took.  The Dudley Farm is a historical site near where I live.  The day we went there for plein air, a group of elementary school students were visiting there too.  A lot of volunteers wearing the old time clothes were there for the students so we got the chance to paint them and photograph them. It was a very interesting date and I have a couple more painting I want to do on this subject. stay turned.
