The "Water Soluble Oils" name is really misleading Silvana and Steinunn, as I (at least) do not use any water with them. I just use them straight or with a little medium. What I really like about them is the very easy clean up. I know a lot of artists do not care for them (like Thomas Ruckstuhl and one of my good friends), but I haven't used regular oils in so long that I don't see much difference! I still have lots of oils, and should really do a painting in oils just to compare!

Steinunn, I would love to be near the ocean again, but wouldn't know where to move! Don't want to put up with hurricanes and tornadoes on the east coast of the US, and Hawaii and California (where I used to live) are so very expensive!

I find it hard to be without an ocean, I tried for a while in Australia but now since I am back in Iceland I live on a tiny island called Vestmannaeyjar where I am borne and bred with the ocean all around!

I cropped to just a portion of the original photo, may try to do a more complete version later. I live in the Southwest, in New Mexico. No ocean :( , just desert and mountains here. We do have a large lake that is about an hour away though. Someday, I would love to move back to the ocean! What about you, are you near the sea?
