This makes me want to try acrylics again.  ; ).  I love and hate how quickly they dry.

Thank you Jen again for your kind words..I was shocked that this is a real place called Fairy glen in Wales...such a beautiful place...yes, I am so diggin the acrylics now..they just dry so darned fast now that I found that I am spoiled and use a hairdryer to speed up the drying lol...

Lovely Mannerherrin.  You did amazing having never used acrylics before.  Your blending is excellent (especially working with acrylics) and the softness of the whole painting does have one wondering if there is something lurking or hidden somewhere. Congrats.

Thank you Carolyn for your feedback..I had such a tough time because every edge was hard and I like soft and dreamy like you picked up on. through hair pulling out i got desperate and watched some youtube videos and it started clicking with me that acrylics are all about  the 'washes'.. I got the values right with black and white..gray washed the edges then started with the color washes.. they dried so stinkin fast I had to move quickly..this has several color washes in the super blended areas...Im working on my next one now and I just love this medium now..Im afraid Ill get spoiled to how quickly it dries..

What a soft, dreamy setting. So lovely, Manneherrin! If this is your first, can't wait to see the next, and the next and the...I would have never guessed you used acrylic. You have mastered the problem of hard edges and blending beautifully!

Mario, thank you for your encouraging words, Dorian, thank you for your smiles, they mean a lot, Joseph, merci, Jim, yes sir, I struggled with this one for a while and almost gave up, I had to watch some tutorials on you tube to figure this medium out. Jessica, thank you for your comments, I really tried to create the 'painterly' atmosphere and the branches are my favorite too.. :D
