Here's my two cents. 8x10, oil on canvas board.
As always, C&C greatly appreciated!

I started thinking about Paradise and all our talk of "Fiddling" and thought of the Fiddler's Green Legend: It is a mythical afterlife (Paradise) where there is perpetual mirth, a fiddle that never stops playing (me and my brush!) and dancers who never tire. I changed it to Glen, because it is a valley.

Hi, Fay,
I wiped out the foreground grasses twice. Then the painting fell off the easel face first into the pallette, getting paint globs all over it! Scape and wipe were the name of the game on this one. I have to leave for a trip tomorrow, so I just finished as best I could, so I could post this before the 23rd. Thanks for taking a look at it and commiserating over the fiddle. ;-)

Hi Betsy,  I can identify with your title "Fiddler's Glen"!  I don't think I've ever scraped paint off before but had to this time! I love the colours in the foreground of your painting.

Thanks Silvana and Jeri. I don't know about enormous talent; I am just a struggling student. I did learn to be looser with the brush this time around. Every lesson builds skills here.

Thanks Laura and Thomas! I got more paint on myself than on the canvas. I just sacrificed another favorite Tee shirt to the painting gods...

Great depth by value and saturation. Juicy application of paint!
