Ann, Thank you so so much for spending time comment my painting. To fix the muddy water, I am thinking to give little bit  touch up water blue color between yellow green blocks. I will give a try.

 I like the soft movement and color in the top of this painting. The umbrella and figures are festive and the color you have used adds to that feeling. Your water is a little over worked and appears muddy. I scrolled up until the painting was a horizontal format with the bottom removed nd it was a very nice painting. The far building is atmospheric but some of the masts are too dark and heavy taking the eye out of the painting. Paint them like the one on the right.
