This is my first true abstract painting. My mentor has been telling me to give it a try and I finally gave in. It was fun to get out of my normal scope of work--which is already quite varied.

Hmm....I'm not Catholic, but I did work at a convent for 3 years ; ).

Thanks, Saghi!  That's a good way to put it, because they really did "just happen". It was very much step by step.  I had no subject in mind whatsoever, I swooshed paint all over, and it looks like a mother and child, I think.
