Friendly Cow

Acrylics on canvasboard, 40 x 50 cm.
My first "loosen up" painting and I like it. She lookes so sweet.
For the first time I started with a underpainting in greys, used a bigger canvas and bigger brushes. Not yet perfect but for a first try I love it.

The flowers are poppies, and you almost tripple over them on some places. Mostly the red ones, but orange,yellow, white and pink poppies you can find too. I had some (hundreds) in dark red, red, pink and orange in my garden, before I moved house. Hopefully next summer I will have them in my new garden growing too.

This was my first try painting cows, I only painted birds and Yana my cat. But I had made a few very nice photo's, so I'll just tried painting one of these ladies.
