I struggled with this one but enjoyed the challenge. I'm not really pleased with it - practice more.!

many thanks Olga for all your nice comments
thanks Dor, and smiles to you :)) and coming from the master I'm so appreciative of your encouraging support Richard. I agree, it's not the best image. I've tried to get better quality pic to upload, but for some reason, just this little painting doesn't want to play ball :) I can't figure it out as some of my paintings come out much better and clearer than others. believe me, I've tried every angle, room and position inside and outside.
thanks Leigh, Stuart and Jon
What a stunner! This is gorgeous Glenys! Please oh please give us better photos.
Simply Marvelous! Lots of smiles :)
thanks for your lovely comments Deb, and your question. I usually set myself a standard and a couple of things in this painting don't read really well to me, e.g. the blue boat on the left, I didn't quite know what to do with it and I didn't want 3 boats all aligned the same. also, the tonal value on the shadow size of the main boat is not contrasting enough compared to the lighter side - my sky marks don't appear to read well to indicate tree shapes and sky, I could fix these of course, but this is a reminder of how I need to improve. I'm my own worst judge ! Thanks for asking.
thank you Steinunn, Isabel and Lisa
