Oil on Board

Hi Arlene,
I think the board was covered / underpainted in crimson with a touch of ultramarine. But I'm not too sure now as I experiment with different tonal backgrounds. The pallete was crimson, ultramarine, cadmium yellow light and titaneum white. I do remember there being another, (failed),painting beneath which I painted over.
Thanks for liking the picture by the way!
Mike what did you underpaint with? Love the look! I have a painting I want to start with fog over water and can't decide what color to underpaint with.
Ouch! I can feel the cold. Very atmospheric!
