Thanks for your comment Colin.  Yes, the background could be much softer and it should be.  It sure would give more atmospheric perspective.  Happy painting.  Maybe see you in the next workshop!

Nice Work! You should be pleased. Like my effort I think we both could have pushed the background buildings further back eg. Softer edges and lešs colour. Maybe your reflections of the gondola bow needed to be less defined eg a little darker/cooler and a more broken up. Happy Painting.
