Studio painting done from photo of a trip to Galveston, TX. Really pushing the limit with the time of day. When I took the photo I used a DSLR 18mp camera. It was really late in the evening and attempting do do a plein air at this time of day I would have just minutes to paint it. So I guess the camera can help in these situations.
