Touched foreground darks to make darkest dark. I also touched little bit background too. But I was so afraid of just ruin it. It is getting better?

It is so true, Life has got its secrets, may be one day we will all meet somewhere in the world. Kind of like a school reunion. Carolyn, It is certainly a great idea to get our painting friends together.

It's the moment of adding one of those emoticons Dorian always attaches!!! :) I will leave it to our own imagination!

Ok, I'm taking names and notes and I will be formatting a "discussion" soon to see what options there may be or what might shape up.. And boy, are you ever correct Silvana, when you state: "Life has got its secrets... one never knows what will happen in the future" Life has never been more interesting than it is at this moment...and hope reigns supreme and breeds .... hope, and more hope! Love it.

I think it's an excellent idea! Though I am very far away... :( .. I never give up hope! I will sure let you know if I am around!!!! Life has got its secrets... one never knows what will happen in the future!

Ah, Silvana, I think it would be ab-so-lute-ly FABULOUS if we could somehow get a whole group together sometime in the future. Wouldn't that be a kick? I've not a clue as to who would be interested, or close enough to know if it would be possible for them, but after all of us  spending time on this forum/website, it would be meeting up with "old friends". Hmmm will have to be thinking about that for the future. I will post on my home page blog or start a discussion, what do you all think?

Hi Laura, I must clarify... I am still living in Prescott, Arizona. Once my house sells I will be moving to Bakersfield, California. That is inland valley and south of you or four hours from Bakersfield to Sunnyvale. My drive to Garrapata National Park (from Bakersfield) would be about 21/2 hours. So perhaps later down the road we could arrange to meet at Garrapata about 1/2 way for each of us. Or another beautiful place we might both enjoy painting. Lots of time to plan at this point!

Carolyn, I would love to paint with you sometime in location. Where are you living near by place? Actually I live in Sunnyvale. It is little far to Carmel, but I go there a few times a year as I enjoy the little down very much with so many art galleries.

Laura, how fun! I hope to do the same and actually paint the area once I return to CA.  You are very close to the park, if and when I manage it I will let you know if you are interested in a paint out!

My husband and I drove to Carmel today. We visited the coast outside Garrapata State Park, and found the exact location of Workshop 24. We were exicted to see the place in person - we felt like we were somewhere very famous. Actually, there are many views in that area that will make very good reference photos for paintings.

We then went to Monterey and saw the cafe scene on Fisherman's Wharf that was in Workshop 21!
