Thanks Terry - but it took me quite awhile to work out how I would achieve a soft movement in the water - in the end I used what I call a Wipe out tool (rubber ended) Lifted some of the blue layer off - then softened. I used this a lot with Porcelain painting
You would probably know another way to do it-I love learning new techniques

Hi Roena
Thanks for the comment on "Gentle Breezes" and taking the time to get into this painting.
I have found that the more you paint the more you see and the little things we once would have discarded could help to make a painting

I have discarded scenes similar to this as I did not know how to over come the flat line of the water's edge. I love your solution - the reflections of the trees drawing your eye past that line. I like the composition as the eye travels through out the painting. The lost and found edges give the distance and the shadows make it real. Nice. Ro

Lovely perspective in this painting. Just enough for my curious mind to think - I'd love to explore beyond the patch of sunlight! Well done! :-))

Love this work Michele. Soft gentle feel and I can almost feel the water with the lovely wind ripple on it. I aspire to do work like this.
