Li, thanks for the encouragement! I always go looking for your entries;-) And Herb, the limited palet really helped because I didn't have to buy too much paint;-)) I haven't looked at the Mastering Color DVD except for a brief review when I got it -- I wasn't in a place I could actually get paints out. I can't wait to see the Workshop13 demo video because it sounds like brushstrokes will be a main theme!
Thank you Richard!! Especially for not minding the out-and-out copy. I hope to be able to take the time to progress thru all the steps of the next ocean challenge and really play with the brushstrokes without so much worry about the outcome -- a big undertaking for me! I'm reallying enjoying the peeks at your Hawaii trip and hope to see more - have you had the opportunity to find any waterfalls to paint?
Wow! It's like seeing my long lost twin! Fantastic job Barbara.
I just noticed that this is your first painting in 37years. I congradurate you come back to the easel and enjoy life in an artistic way. You are very talent, this piece shows a lot.
Totally agree with Nancy. So happy to see your first post here. You captured everything we were taught. So well done by all means. Keep on your good work here with us. By the way, many thanks for your praise about my job.
I'm "copyin" Richard's challanges too. And like you I'm adding to my store house of good solid painting instruction esp use of limited palet. I hope yoy are enjoying "Mastering Color" as much as I am ( Is't it great to have a organized plan as opposed to making a mess on the canvas as painting your way out.HA! HA!)
Thank you Nancy and Jane. Now that I've actually given it a try, I'm going back and have a look at the Richard's DVDs that I have and maybe work my way thru Mastering Color. I'd sure like to see a DVD on 'mastering' brushstrokes;-)
Well done Barbara.
Thanks Anne and Dor. Richard is such an amazing teacher as he explains his thought processes as well artistic fundamentals.
