Guardian of the Lake (Haystacks overlooking Buttermere – English Lake District)

12x16" Acrylic on stretched canvas. The hill of Haystacks is one that I have climbed to the top of many times, in all seasons and in all weathers. This is my favourite part of the Lake District to visit. This painting is composed from my memories and photographs, plus a touch of artistic license.
