Dear Sarah, Ruby and Cristina - I do so appreciate your kind comments.  I should have cropped the bottom out of the picture I think because every time I look at it I'm not happy with that part of the painting.  Never mind, it was a great exercise and another very worthwhile and enjoyable workshop.

Thank you Candi and Laura.  Doing a painting in one sitting is not a good idea for me - I was full of enthusiasm until near the end when I got quite tired and didn't mix the right colours for the foreground so will have another go at it when it's dry.  However it was another great learning curve and I'll certainly be able to put what I've learned to good use. Richard is a great teacher isn't he.
