Hi, Ian - Dunno about the reflection... ? ...hmmm ..... - my idea was that darks are lighter and lights darker in reflections globally - what I think I should do is make the trees lighter and softer, reduce the saturation in/ and unify the foreground and redesign some of the shapes - especially the bank on the left - I like your idea of tall grass - thanks a lot for the input!!!

You have definitely caught the look of a marshy area where they will be mosquitoes!  Interesting shapes & composition.
