Oh Ann, it sounds so exiting and fun, thank you for sharing.
Thank you my friends for your comments. Yes Steinunn it is the southern end of San Francisco bay. If you look at a map there is a bay that comes in under the Golden Gate bridge where San Francisco is on the coast of California. It is tidal mud flats when the tide goes out. Laura and I started to paint and this area was mostly mud when we finished. The air is moist and foggy much of the time here being the same climate as San Francisco. We live about 40 miles south of here in San Jose which is much warmer and sunnier.
I like this Ann very atmospheric, is it a wetland area? It has a feeling of dampness.
Hi Ann, this is really beautiful! Love the focal area. I haven't touch my brush since then.
Congratulation Ann, that sky looks formidable............Smiles :-)
Mist an cold feeling... but great painting!
Thank you Pauline for you comment and liking my painting. Today I glazed the mountain to make it more purple/ blue and also the water with more blue color. It made the painting better but these greyish colors are what I saw plein air.
What a beauty Ann, love your spotlight, your tree shapes are so convincing, it's a jolly nice painting!
Laura Xu and I went out together. Laura are you ready to post yours ?
