48 X 32cm Pastels.

The picture for this workshop reminded me of one of my photos which I have been going to paint for some time now.

We were travelling to the South Island of New Zealand in mid winter and all day had been admiring the beautiful cloud formations.

I like the contrast between the warmth of the beach, with is palmtrees and the people having fun, and the cold look from the mountains and the water, and the mitsy few in front of those mountains. It is as if summer and winter are close together. It is really a beautiful, sunny wintersday, and i like it. Great job, Hazel, well done!!
