14 x 28
oil on linen

I was super excited to find this subject. The house seems to be built by the owner in a amateurish fashion. Lots of little bits and pieces of wood that don't seem to belong which made for a lot of interest in drawing the house.

Fantastic!!!  I love the edges!  Very few do it this well -- Schmid being another notable example. This is a terrific painting!

Hey Borgrimur, Welcome back, nice to see you posting again. This is a great example of lost and found edges. The simple foreground and background sets the stage for the interesting house. Beautiful painting simply beautiful

Just Wow!

Even though your subject is smack in the middle of the painting and the road leads from the bottom right corner, it all works for me, I think it is the upward perspective that I love the most, combined with the soft delusion of foresty background.

Beautiful job, I agree that it resembles Richard Schmidt's style. ( =

Great ! It remind me of Richard Schmidt style..Love the colors, and that "unfinished" look of foreground
