Original Oil Painting by Jeri McDonald. 8x10 panel. Plein Air. This one was painted last month in my Fresno Plein Air painters group at Lake Millerton in Fresno, CA. The day was no sunny that morning but there was still subtle color changes and a feeling of crispness in the air. My vision was the contrast colors of greens and warm redish orange tones of the ground below the tree and to lead the eye from there back to the lake and then to the mountains which had snow on them but they were shrouded in clouds at the very peaks which you can't see as they were covered by the tree.
